March of 2016... Brater Painting would like to show our appreciation to our community for 20 years of trust and support by painting someones house for free during the 2016 season ! We need YOUR HELP in finding a good candidate ! This person or family should be financially unable to afford to have their house exterior painted, and who may be physically incapable of painting it themselves. Older folks, people who are down on their luck or facing an illness, etc. This will be for exterior painting, and will be limited to residents of Harrison or Crosby Townships in Ohio, or Harrison Township in Indiana.
So please, if you know of someone like this, submit your candidate by name and address to; [email protected]
Your identity will be held in the strictest confidence unless you request that we inform the chosen candidate who submitted them. We will choose a candidate based on our own decision and discretion alone.

March 2017...Well... That just didn't work out as we hoped it would... After announcing the above grand plan on our web site, posting an official press release on Brater Brothers Painting Facebook page, and posting on Harrison Happenings Facebook page, (Where we got a TON of likes) the grand total of submissions by the fall of 2016 was... Zero !

SO... We decided we would maybe paint something for the local municipalities where we do most of our work. This would benefit everyone within the municipality equally. It would free up funds used to paint what we would paint for free, and allow those funds to be used for something else !

First I called my friend Mr. Ray Acra from Harrison City town council. Ray said the Gazebo and the old Fire Station building in the city park needed painting. Awesome ! Lets do it ! Here are some pics...

August 2017 Update. We pressure washed and painted the Gazebo. It turned out GREAT ! This entire park has underwent major updates. We also painted the vintage Fire Engine garage in the same colors of Sherwin Williams Grizzle Gray and White. Thanks to John Bartels of Sherwin Williams for donating the paint for this project. Thanks to Ray Acra for facilitating access. Many other things were accomplished in this park, mostly due to volunteers. The grave site of Aaron Bonnell was cleaned and the headstones fixed, a new fence installed, and a new flagpole as well. Ray Acra was the driving force of this restoration and the city of Harrison owes him a great big Thank You for his efforts !

We are super excited about helping out the communities that have supported us for over 20 years ! Although our original plans to paint someones house for free didn't pan out, I think God stirs our plans with his finger sometimes and a greater good is the result !

Sherwin Williams

We will be partnering with our main paint supplier, Sherwin Williams, to help us offset the cost of materials. Our local Harrison, Ohio Sherwin Williams treats us right, so show them some love. The end result is, great advise and service, and you will be using the finest paints in the world !
